An interactive tree plantation experience for Biocon, where every guest plants a digital tree from their phone and watches a forest rise on a giant LED wall.
Project Overview
Environmental pledges are easy to make and easy to forget. ViitorX built Biocon an experience that makes one stick. Guests scan a QR code, choose from four kinds of tree, and plant it from their own phone, and within seconds it appears, named and dated, on a towering vertical LED wall that grows into a living digital forest as more people join in. Built in Unreal Engine, it turns a corporate commitment to sustainability into a moment people actually take part in.
Objective
Biocon wanted a sustainability moment that guests would remember and share. The experience needed to:
- Make environmental awareness feel personal, active, and memorable at a live event.
- Let anyone plant a tree instantly from their phone, with no app to install.
- Give every participant visible recognition for taking part.
- Create a scalable, event-ready centrepiece Biocon could control and reuse.
Challenges
Turning a sustainability message into a live experience is harder than it sounds:
- Sustainability messaging often feels abstract and easy to tune out.

We designed the whole experience around one satisfying loop: scan, plant, watch it grow. It came together as:
- Plant from your phone: A QR code opens the experience instantly, and guests pick from four tree types and plant directly from their own device.
- A living LED wall: Each tree appears in real time on a tall vertical LED wall, building an ever-growing digital forest that reflects the room.
- Personal recognition: Every tree carries the planter’s name and date on a visible plank, so participation feels personal and lasting.
- VIP zone and admin control: A dedicated VIP tree area and a client dashboard let Biocon manage participants and the display live, built in Unreal Engine.
