SoReal: A 3D Way to Walk a Home Before It Exists
A 3D real estate visualization platform across tablet and TV, letting buyers customize interiors, flip between day and night, and explore a home in archviz-grade detail.
Project Overview
Buying a home off a floor plan asks a lot of a person’s imagination. SoReal is ViitorX’s own answer to that problem: an in-house 3D real estate visualization platform built to take the guesswork out of buying a property before it exists. It lets a buyer step inside a home and treat it like their own: change the wall colours, swap the furniture, flip the lights on and off, open a door, even sit in a chair. It runs across a tablet app for one-on-one walkthroughs, a TV app for big-screen viewing, and a backend with a CRM to keep everything connected. The result is a virtual property tour that feels less like a brochure and more like a visit.
Objective
We built SoReal to give real estate developers a presentation tool that buyers could direct themselves. The platform needed to:
- Render property interiors as realistic, archviz-grade 3D visualization.
- Let buyers customize interiors, changing colours, furniture, and themes.
- Offer multiple view modes, including a CAD view, gallery, and day or night lighting.
- Work consistently across a tablet app and a TV app from one backend.
Challenges
An interactive 3D home brings real technical demands:
- Day and night functionality means realistic lighting that has to look right at any time of day.
- Technical plan views for electrical, plumbing, and cooling had to sit alongside the visual experience.
- The same property visualization had to feel consistent on both tablet and TV.
- Interactions, from opening doors to sitting in chairs, needed to feel responsive, not gimmicky.
Solutions
We built SoReal as a connected, multi-device platform. It includes:
- A tablet app for guided tours: Built in Unity, it lets buyers navigate a property by 2D map and 3D interior, with login, QR scanning, listings, and plan views as a portable real estate app.
- A TV app for the big screen: A large-format 3D viewing experience with splash screens, QR functionality, and smooth 3D model loading for showroom-style presentation.
- Interactive 3D customization: Buyers change interior colours, furniture, and themes, toggle lights, and switch between day and night, making the property visualization personal.
- A Node.js backend with CRM: A backend built on Node.js and Unity manages data and APIs, with a CRM to handle customer and property details and real-time updates.
Where It Pays Off for Builders and Buyers
A buyer who can recolour the walls and watch the evening light fall through the windows is no longer guessing, they are deciding. That is the quiet power of good 3D visualization in real estate: it moves a buyer from imagining to experiencing. For builders, the same platform turns every showroom tablet or TV into a persuasive, interactive sales tool that presents homes far better than renders on paper. The payoff runs both ways, a more confident buyer and a more compelling pitch, which is why an archviz-grade real estate app earns its place on the sales floor.
Results & Impact
- Delivered SoReal, a 3D visualization platform for real estate across tablet and TV.
- Let buyers customize interiors and switch between day and night lighting in real time.
- Combined a 2D map, 3D interior, and technical plan views in one real estate app.
- Built a Node.js backend and CRM to manage properties, customers, and APIs.
- Gave builders an archviz-grade virtual property tour that lifts buyer engagement.
Conclusion
The closer a buyer gets to experiencing a home, the easier the decision becomes. By building SoReal in-house as a multi-device 3D visualization platform, ViitorX gave real estate developers a way to let buyers walk, customize, and truly see a property before it is built. It is property visualization aimed at the real human moment of choosing a home, and it makes that choice feel a great deal more certain.
